1:1 Pixel mapping via DVI or VGA on the HS10/HS20 can easily be achieved using the following PowerStrip settings (you can copy & paste these into PS). Note that 1:1 mapping is only really achievable at 56Hz which is not ideal:
PowerStrip timing parameters: 1368x768=1368,56,144,216,768,1,11,23,80285,3094
Generic timing details for 1368x768: HFP=56 HSW=144 HBP=216 kHz=45 VFP=1 VSW=11 VBP=23 Hz=56
Linux modeline parameters: "1368x768" 80.285 1368 1424 1568 1784 768 769 780 803 -hsync -vsync
Tip 1: If you are having trouble getting the projector to sync with this setting via DVI, make sure that the [Digital Signal Sel] menu item is set to [Computer] and not [GRB]. This menu item is on the 3rd icon from the top.
Tip 2 (from Bucko): If you are having problems with getting PowerStrip to accept these parameters, try the following: - Downloaded new PowerStrip version 3.3 - Remove old PowerStrip - Remove Monitor (in Windows) - Reboot PC and install new PowerStrip 3.3 - Configure PowerStrip settings as stated above - Configure Monitor Driver in Windows (if required) - That's all folks...
The HS10/HS20 will see this signal as No.51 at 1366x768.
You will notice that there is a slight black border all the way around (doesn't really bother) due to the fact that HS10 panel resolution is apparently 1386x788! With the 1366x768 resolution you have a 10 pixel border on each side - I will write a little utility to confirm this one day :-) |

I am a beginner! Any help is much appreciated. Where exactly in PowerStrip do I enter the timing parameters?
I downloaded PowerStrip 3.46.422 - when I go to PowerStrip menu > Display Profiles > configure > the "Advanced Timing Options" button is grayed out. Any Ideas?
FYI - I have XP and an nVidia Personal Cinema FX5600 card with DVI-D out in addition to a video break out box. Anyone tried this?

richard,
The typical reason why the advanced options are disabled is that you have the "[x] Hide modes that this monitor cannot display" option checked under Monitor properties in XP (right click on desktop, choose properties and go to the Monitor tab). Once you've unchecked this you might have to reboot.
To get the PowerStrip parameter in you only need to copy and paste the following into powerstrip (selected all 3 the following sections, press Ctrl+C). PowerStrip has buttons (little clipboard icons) at the bottom of the dialog on the advanced timings page that you need to click to paste it in):
PowerStrip timing parameters: 1368x768=1368,56,144,216,768,1,11,23,80285,3094
Generic timing details for 1368x768: HFP=56 HSW=144 HBP=216 kHz=45 VFP=1 VSW=11 VBP=23 Hz=56
Linux modeline parameters: "1368x768" 80.285 1368 1424 1568 1784 768 769 780 803 -hsync -vsync

The following 1184x666 resolution at 50Hz (good for PAL) is reported by [antorsae] to work well via DVI (using GBR mode on the HS10/HS20):
PowerStrip timing parameters: 1184x666=1184,160,56,256,666,30,6,46,61934,1
Generic timing details for 1184x666: HFP=160 HSW=56 HBP=256 kHz=37 VFP=30 VSW=6 VBP=46 Hz=50
Linux modeline parameters: "1184x666" 61.934 1184 1344 1400 1656 666 696 702 748 +hsync +vsync
----------------------------------------------------------------- Some more settings I want to play with:
PowerStrip timing parameters: 1368x768p=1368,56,144,216,768,1,11,23,80285,3094
Additional refinements submitted by Michael Buenter: 1368x768p=1368,72,24,304,768,1,14,21,79603,2310 1280x720p (60Hz)=1280,80,72,216,720,5,5,20,74160,2304 1280x720p (50Hz)=1280,488,88,128,720,5,6,19,74400,2310
